During the tests performed under the project of construction of new generating facilities in the Kaliningrad region, the gas turbine unit (GTU) of the first power unit of Mayakovskaya TPP reached its rated capacity and demonstrated the operability of the start-up facility systems and equipment as a whole. The next commissioning stages will include tests of the second GTU of Mayakovskaya TPP, as well as the units of Talakhovskaya TPP.
Mayakovskaya TPP in Gusev and Talakhovskaya TPP in Sovetsk are being built under the same project and designed as peak-load power plants. They are made up of equipment manufactured by domestic power engineering companies. Each plant includes two gas turbine units with a unit generating capacity of 77.9 MW.
As part of the Mayakovskaya TPP (MTPP) and Talakhovskaya TPP (TTPP) construction project, Globaltechexport Ltd. successfully supplied and put into operation:
- Plant-wide modular gas treatment unit of Mayakovskaya TPP;
- Gas distribution unit of the water boiler house of Mayakovskaya TPP;
- Plant-wide modular gas treatment unit of Talakhovskaya TPP;
- Auxiliary water boiler (capacity 1 MW) of Talakhovskaya TPP;
- Gas distribution unit of the water boiler house of Talakhovskaya TPP.
The construction projects of Talakhovskaya and Mayakovskaya TPPs are managed by Inter RAO-Engineering LLC.
