Globaltechexport Ltd. completed the design, manufacture and supply of the first in Russia Natural Gas and Syngas Treatment Unit for Entrade GmbH, Germany

Globaltechexport Ltd. in cooperation with its German partner Berlinex GmbH has successfully finished the design, manufacturing, and supply of the first in Russia Natural Gas and Syngas Treatment Unit for the German Customer Entrade GmbH, a subsidiary company of the Turkish enterprise ENKA İnşaat ve Sanayi A.Ş. (ENKA) in the framework of the implementation of the «Project of the Combined Cycle Power Plant with the capacity of 500 MW for Nizhnekamskneftekhim PJSC.

ENKA İnşaat ve Sanayi A.Ş. is one of the leading International caliber EPC-companies with a history of more than 60 years, providing design and engineering services as well as construction services with an impressive portfolio of more than 500 completed projects around the world, where ENKA is the EPC Contractor of the Siemens AG which is carrying out the turn-key construction of the Project for the TAIF Group of Companies from the Republic of Tatarstan.

The complexity of this Project consisted of the necessity for the performance of a complex treatment, commercial metering, as well as mixing of the Natural and Syngas with permanent control and regulation of the Wobbe Index before feeding the mixture of both gases to two SGT5-2000E gas turbine units manufactured by Siemens AG.

As part of the implementation of the challenging task, the technical specialists of the internal Control Systems Department of Globaltechexport Ltd. for the first time in Russia carried out meticulous and innovative work to design algorithms for the process of mixing of the two gases with different physical properties and chemical compositions with permanent control and regulation of the change rate of physical and chemical parameters in the mixed gas, which is intended for feeding to the turbine, with the provision of controlled combustion process. The Automatic Control System is implemented and built on the basis of the Siemens Simatic programmable logic controller.

Configuration and main characteristics of the designed and supplied equipment:

Natural Gas Treatment Unit comprising:

• ESD valve unit/block DN600 PN16;
• Commercial metering unit/block DN600 PN16;
• Primary cleaning unit/block based on 2 lines DN600 PN16.

Synthetic Gas Treatment Unit comprising:

• ESD valve unit/block DN700 PN16;
• Commercial metering unit/block DN700 PN16;
• Primary cleaning unit/block based on 2 lines DN700 PN16;
• Natural Gas and Syngas mixing units at the inlet of each turbine;
• Natural Gas and Syngas mixing unit/block No. 1 DN250 PN40;
• Natural Gas and Syngas mixing unit/block No. 2 DN250 PN40;
• Mixed Gas technological metering unit and fine cleaning unit at the inlet of the turbine;
• Mixed Gas technological metering unit and fine cleaning unit No. 1 DN250 PN40;
• Mixed Gas technological metering unit and fine cleaning unit No. 2 DN250 PN40;
• Common Automatic Control System based on the Siemens Simatic PLC.
