Globaltechexport Ltd. and Siemens completed a joint state-of-the-art automation system development and implementation project for NNK-Khabarovsk Oil Refinery JSC

Globaltechexport Ltd. and Siemens completed a joint state-of-the-art automated process control system development and implementation project for Electric Desalting and Atmospheric Distillation Plant No. 1 of NNK-Khabarovsk Oil Refinery JSC.

The developed automated process control system is based on state-of-the-art hardware and software platforms provided by Siemens:

• SIMATIC S7-400F/FH – hardware platform to build failsafe systems;

• SIMATIC PCS 7 – software platform to develop process industry control systems.

Based on these products, the Company engineers developed a fully redundant system that incorporated more than 1,250 physical signals with 59 control loops (including cascade ones) and complied with all Customer's requirements in terms of control quality and response rates.

All servers, operator rooms, and engineering stations were configured to meet up-to-date information security requirements.

Cyber security solutions included Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity products with centralized control via Kaspersky Security Center.

Retrofitting enabled to increase the general plant productivity and improve the final product quality. The new user interface developed according to up-to-date standards helped to decrease operating personnel errors and improve response rates in abnormal situations.
