Globaltechexport Ltd. manufactured a natural gas conditioning and metering unit for Verkhnetagilskaya GRES owned by Inter RAO PJSC. The new equipment will supply conditioned gas not only to the new 420 MW CCGT unit, but also to the existing GRES equipment. The design flow rate is up to 375,000 Nm3/h, the design pressure is up to 63 bar (g).
The gas conditioning and metering unit includes:
- Gas Purification Unit comprising 3 gas treatment lines based on DN350 PN63 high rate cyclone separator filter with a filtration degree of 5 µm for solids and condensed moisture;
- Commercial gas metering unit (single unit for the existing part of Verkhnetagilskaya GRES and 420 MW CCGT unit) comprising three basic flow metering lines with DN350 PN63 ultrasonic flow meters and one DN100 PN63 low flow rate line. An ultrasonic flow meter with ±0.5% measurement accuracy (in compliance with Gazprom standard 5.2-2005) is used in the gas metering unit;
- Gas quality control unit with an on-stream chromatograph for gas analysis and a water dew point analyzer;
- Natural gas heating unit comprising 2 lines for gas heating from 0°С to 70°С prior to its supply to the gas turbine with DN250/DN300 PN63 horizontal shell-tube heaters;
- Gas conditioning and metering unit is installed immediately upstream of the turbine;
- Local automation and control system;
- Power switchboard for low voltage electrical consumers of the gas conditioning and metering unit including automation and control cabinet;
- Gas conditioning and metering unit process instruments;
- Gas treatment and metering unit process pipelines within the limits of the supply scope;
- Electric wiring for low-voltage power supply;
- Modular enclosure of the gas conditioning and metering unit with separate compartments for process equipment (explosion fire-hazardous area), electric power supply, and automation system cabinets (non-hazardous area);
- Condensate receiving tank unit comprising a surface-mounted tank of 10 m3 or higher capacity.
