NRing Circuit, June 2-3, 2018 — the first weekend of June stuck in memory not so much as the calendar start of summer but as a successful debut of the Autoproduct MATCH TV GTE RT team in the prestigious Super Production class of the SMP RCRS Russian Circuit Racing Series.
On June 2-3, 2018, the Autoproduct MATCH TV GTE RT team fielded two Lada Granta cars prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Super Production class at Lada Sport to compete on a short but abundant in difficult and skill-requiring corners NRing track.
Despite technical issues with engine overheating, the pilots of Autoproduct MATCH TV GTE RT, Evgeny Meites and Philipp Tuponosov, were able to finish in the 5th and the 6th places in both races, bringing the first such important points to the team's collection already in the debut race.
Both races were really action-packed with a lot of overtaking, contact fighting and collisions, which only emphasizes the importance of a double finish in points for our drivers.
At the end of stage three of the SMP RCRS Championship, the Autoproduct MATCH TV GTE RT team finished 4th and 5th in the overall classification, and third in the team classification of the Super Production class, leaving behind more experienced and distinguished opponents. We heartily congratulate them!
The next stage of the Super Production class of the SMP RCRS Championship will be held on July 21-22, 2018 at KazanRing. During the break before the next stage, the Autoproduct Match TV GTE RT team plans to solve technical issues revealed at the debut stage, so the team can arrive at the KazanRing with even more competitive equipment.
