GTE Racing Team pilots took part in the race on the KVC Circuit.
Last weekend, several participants of the Russian Circuit Racing Series met on the synchronous track of the KVC complex at once to compete for the podium of the 3rd stage of the Togliatti Cup.
The pilots passed the qualification according to the traditional scheme, and then they were divided into three qualifying groups. Philipp Tuponosov (GTE Racing Team) and Andrey Petukhov failed to reach the quarterfinals, but still, the key candidates were the SMP RCRS participants. Anastasia Voronkova (Eriell) came last in the race.
Vladislav Nezvankin and Vitaly Primak dropped out at this stage. Besides participation in the Russian Series, they both are senior managers of LADA Sport (in the final protocol they took 5th and 8th places).
But their colleague, LADA Sport Commercial Director Maxim Ostudin, not only reached the semi-final but left Mikhail Mityaev behind in the re-run for bronze! It is worth reminding that a similar situation was at the previous stage when Ostudin left no room on the podium for Kirill Ladygin.
This time Ladygin was at his best. The first place was decided in the fight between two LADA Sport ROSNEFT teammates, as a result of which Vladimir Sheshenin won the Silver and Kirill Ladygin won the Gold.
And now, before the final stage, four sportsmen have a chance to win. Ladygin is leading (262 points), Sheshenin is the second (243 points), and Mityaev is the third (225 points). The fourth is Maxim Ostudin (198 points). And, taking into account the fact that 100 points can be earned per stage, the absence or failure of any leader in the final may significantly change the positions in the final protocol.
