As part of the implementation of the second phase of the Yakutsk GRES-2 construction project, Globaltechexport Ltd. has concluded a contract with RusHydro PJSC for the design, manufacture, and supply of the gas treatment equipment for the gas booster station of Yakutsk GRES-2 with further installation and commissioning supervision at the site.

The Yakutsk GRES-2 project is focused on the use of modern, highly efficient equipment and meets the most stringent environmental requirements. Its implementation will ensure a reliable supply of electricity and heat to consumers, creating the preconditions for further socio-economic development of the region.

The equipment designed and supplied by Globaltechexport Ltd. will also have the advantage of the highest possible degree of localization, close to 100 percent — according to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 719, all core equipment will be manufactured in Russia at the production facilities of Globaltechexport Ltd. and the facilities of our partners, proven over the years.

One of the main challenges of this project, in addition to the location of the site in the harsh conditions of the Far North, synonymous with special requirements for both equipment and its delivery, was the need to fine-tune the collaborative operation of the previously installed Atlas Copco equipment (two multi-shaft compressors) with the Siemens control system and a new single-shaft compressor manufactured by Globaltechexport Ltd. with a PROSOFT control system.

The purpose of the supplied equipment is to supply natural gas of the required pressure to the fuel gas skids of gas turbines at the Yakutsk GRES-2 site as a reserve for two existing GBS manufactured by Atlas Copco.

Scope and main specifications of the supplied equipment:

Technological equipment consisting of:

  • GBS comprised of the compressor unit with the electric motor and oil system;
  • Inlet and outlet pipelines with shutoff and control valves;
  • Equipment and materials for the fire protection system of the GBS casing, including the gas hazard monitoring system and the fire alarm system;
  • Utility systems, electric lighting, and input-exhaust ventilation, housed in a noise-proof casing;
  • Modular instrument air and nitrogen unit, including power and control cables, cable metal structures, etc.;
